Action
"Long shot of community hut. We see in f. g. how corner post
is finishing + the last few hurried touches of hut’s decoration are
being completed. Then some person of authority steps briskly
into scene + shoos the girls away. The girls hastily pick up the
loose flowers that are left over from the decorating and one
girl [?] her arm through a pile of wreaths + with arm extended to the
wreaths dangling from it hurries away. At same time a bunch
of kids are asked away and also a flock of dogs, so that at
end of scene the house is cleared and ready for the reception.“

Camera shoots into end door of community hut both pillows of
door in f. g. [?] with ferns and flowers as are all the
other posts. The crossbeams are covered with coconut leaves
draped from the edge of roof out at back end of hut are strings of
artificial frangipani. Mats are spread on floor + strewn
on them are ferns and flowers + coconut leaves. [?] Hitu sits
in center of hut on mats.
The other girls [?] to centre of hut from camera left pack up
the strewn flowers + leaves. They run out with them, some out left and
some out right, some out front toward camera.
They come back for more. Chief [?] enters camera right hurries the
girls out, he walks toward front door then he walks back toward
back of hut. Woman ?? comes in from camera left [?]
[?] out of doorway + pulls them one on each arm
back into the hut.

Bemerkungen
Girls sitting inside hut along camera left side: Teura, Hana (3), Tina,
[?] Tetua. Girl in centre Hutia.
Children at door:
right to left: Vana (boy), Teaumea (girl), [?] (girl), [?] (girl), [?] (woman)
