side. Pareu falls about even with her
knees. In her hair over left ear she
wears a frangipani flower.

Miri and Reri Reed sit in white outrigger canoe a few feet from
shore, under overhanging trees. Camera is fastened to bow of
canoe. Miri sits on a stump in canoe just back of first out-
rigger crosspiece. Athwart canoe just in front of her is a flat
basket. Back of Miri and just in front of rear outrigger crosspiece
on seat of canoe sits Reri, holding paddle over right side of canoe.
At start of shot Moe stands in water at Miri's right and dumps
flowers from another flat basket into Miri's basket (bottom of
Miri's basket is covered with banana leaves.) Then she hurries
out of picture, camera left, taking her basket with her. From
camera left Tetua runs in and places another basket of flowers
before Reri in canoe; then she runs out, camera left. Reri
places her basket of flowers in front of Miri, and starts to
paddle, while Miri arranges flower. She paddles some distance
under the overhanging trees.
In Takes 3 and 4 after receiving flowers from Reri and
arranging them in front of her, Miri takes paddle and paddles
on camera right.
Tempo of scene: quick.
