„Med shot toward ship. Camera in canoe right
back of Matahi’s canoe so that Matahi (standing)
in his canoe just fill screen. Bows of other
canoes on either side + bow of chief’s double canoe
is at return of Matahi’s canoe .. spirit of racing and
water splashing from gently moving paddles. Suddenly
Matahi seems to hear something + turns toward camera
still paddling
