Action
Long shot showing all the canoes rushing out
over the lagoon. At the head of all this
wedge-shaped fleet arrives the canoe of
Matahi and Matahi stands [?]
on the gunwales, leader of them all.
Matahi wears flower wreath.
Camera set on platform of old double canoe - bow of
Matahi’s canoe fastened to stern of old double canoe.
Back of him are chief double canoe and a fleet of
about 30 single canoes. Bora Bora shore and small
mountain in b.g.
as chief’s double canoe and other conoes draw closer to
him, Matahi redoubles his paddling. He keeps looking
back at his pursuers shouting + laughing.
In take 2, 3 , 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 they catch up to Matahi fast + chief double
canoe overtakes him on camera right. In takes 5, 6, 7, + 8 Matahi splashes
[?] in double canoe + they splash back.
