This footage was produced after F. W. Murnau's return to the United States. It is not listed in a daily report or in the film script. It shows two different takes, which were double-exposed in the camera. The film was rewound after shooting the first take and the second take was filmed over the material already exposed. Due to this occurence, there are clapper boards with different take numbers in the clip, which each refer only to one of the respective takes, but not to the finished take. The entry "Murnau" on the clapper board indicates that he himself operated the camera during these shots. A segment of this take has been incorporated into the film. It is displayed with a black border to distinguish it from other material in this clip.
